How it works with IMPOCAR
- You buy the boat or jet ski in the United States. IMPOCAR does not buy or bid for you.
- Pickup or drop-off in Davie: you drop it off at our yard in Davie, Florida, or our truck picks it up in Florida and nearby states. If it is farther away in the U.S., we arrange transport to the nearest port.
- Shipping: by container, our specialty, or RoRo, depending on the case.
- Arrival: at the port of your choice in Panama, Central America or the Caribbean.
Before you buy: what to check
- Size and weight: length, width and height on the trailer determine whether it ships by container or RoRo.
- Documents: hull, engine and trailer title or registration, plus the bill of sale in your name.
- Trailer: let us know if it is included; it is part of the quote.
- Engine and accessories: confirm what equipment is installed on the unit.
Container or RoRo?
Container shipping is our specialty and gives the unit more protection. RoRo may suit larger equipment that does not fit in a container. We review each case with you and confirm the best option in your quote, which is tailored for every country.
Taxes and requirements
Each country applies its own taxes and import rules, which depend on the type, year and value of the unit, among other factors, and may change. We recommend checking them before you buy; we are happy to guide you when you request a quote.

Can I ship items inside the boat?
We ask that the unit travels empty, without personal items or extra cargo; this keeps loading and customs simple.
Do you pick up outside Florida?
Our truck covers Florida and nearby states. If the boat is farther away, we arrange transport to the nearest port.
