The United States offers a wide selection of tractors, implements and farm machinery, new and used. If you have already chosen your equipment, IMPOCAR arranges transport to the port of your choice in Panama, Central America or the Caribbean.
How it works with IMPOCAR
- You buy the tractor or machinery in the United States. IMPOCAR does not buy or bid for you.
- Pickup or drop-off in Davie: you drop it off at our yard in Davie, Florida, or our truck picks it up in Florida and nearby states. If it is farther away in the U.S., we arrange transport to the nearest port.
- Shipping: by container, our specialty, or RoRo, depending on the case.
- Arrival: at the port of your choice in Panama, Central America or the Caribbean.
Prior cost check: the key step
Machinery and oversize equipment require a cost check before the shipment is confirmed. To quote, we need:
- Make, model and year.
- Dimensions (length, width and height) and approximate weight.
- Where the equipment is located in the U.S.
- Whether it includes implements or removable parts.
With that information we check whether it ships by container, our specialty, or RoRo, and confirm the cost before moving ahead.
Tips before you buy
- Ask for photos of the serial plates and the actual dimensions.
- Make sure the equipment is clean; many countries require machinery free of soil and debris.
- Check that the purchase documents are in your name.
Taxes and requirements
Each country applies its own taxes and import rules, which depend on the type, year and value of the unit, among other factors, and may change. We recommend checking them before you buy; we are happy to guide you when you request a quote.
FAQ
Can I ship spare parts inside the machinery?
We ask that the equipment travels without loose items or extra cargo; if you have implements, include them in your quote request.
